Hi, my name is
Bardia Anvari
Welcome to my portfolio.
I'm a High School Sophomore currently attending Dublin High School. I'm currently enroled in AP Computer Science Principals and AP European History.
About Me
Hello! I'm Bardia, a Sophomore full stack developer, Certified IT Engineer and AP CSP Student based in the Bay Area.
On the software side, I develop applications mainly on the server side, with the occasional web, desktop, or mobile app. In terms of IT and Cybersecurity, I am working on certifications from CompTIA and Cisco. In addition, I've participated in multiple cybersecurity competitions and currently offer paid hosting on my homelab. In school I’m currently taking AP Computer Science Principles and AP European History. Next year I’m taking AP Computer Science Applications, AP Environmental Science, AP Calculus AB, AP United States History, and Honors English. As an undergraduate student I plan to take a computer related major, such as computer science or computer engineering. Afterwards, I plan on getting a Master’s degree in something like Aerospace Engineering or Nuclear Engineering. I’m still debating whether or not I should pursue a PHD afterwards, but I’ll make the decision when it comes to it.
Most of my work and experience is done on the internet as a predominantly open-source developer, but I've recently taken a job at The Coder School, where I teach younger kids introductory programming concepts. Outside of Computer Engineering, I also have experience with Mechanical Engineering, as I’ve modified a regular bicycle with a gasoline engine, which can reach speed of over 40 MPH.
Here are some of my main skills:
- Minecraft Server Side and Client Side Development
- Linux Distro Development
- Node.js
- Java
- Javascript
- Python
- Dart
- Unity
- C/C++/C#
- Rust
- SQL, MongoDB, Redis
- HTMl & CSS & EJS
- Cybersecurity
- REST APIs
- Internal Combustion Engines
- and more!
Career Exploration
Intro @ Intro
August 2021 - Present
During my time in high school, I have gained work and volunteer experience through diligent research online and by taking almost every opportunity that comes up if it pertains to a future career in the computing industry.
School Projects
Featured Project
MagiCarp
AP CSP - 05/18/2022
MagiCarp is a mobile application developed for the 2022 Entrepreneurship Project that aids users that have RSIs (repetitive stress injuries) such as carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and burstitis, and MagiCarp will reccomend products through Amazon affiliate links to the user based on their specific RSI injury. MagiCarp will also perform an assessment regarding the user's pain level, and it will provide videos from accreddited medical professionals of specific stretches/exercises the user can perform to relieve pain from their RSI injury. MagiCarp will also have a community chat where users can discuss the validity of certain exercises and ergonomic products, and the app also includes a work timer where users can perform the reccomended stretches during their work break.
As a part of the MagiCarp team, I developed the REST API backend that provides users with the aformentioned medical diagnosises. I also setup the project's REST API hosting on Kubernetes. This was one of the first major projects I've worked on where I could actually share the load with others, as most of the projects I had worked on in the past required a lot more work on my part. Working on this project really helped me learn a lot about what it means to work in a team environment, and the lessons I learned will stick with me for the duration of my professional career.
- Python
- REST API
- MIT App Inventor
Featured Project
A pHishy Fish Tank
AP CSP - 2/16/2022
A pHishy Fish Tank and its client report was a project done for Unit 2.1 Data Diligence. The project consisted of a hypothetical scenario where a company hired you to provide an IT consultation for a non-functioning fish tank. After researching and correcting the problems with the fish tank, a detailed client report was written that explains the problems and possible solutions.
This project was completed by myself and another student. The role I chose for myself was to complete the entirety of the client report, which I did. This project was a big change from the previous projects we worked on in AP CSP and it did alot to teach the non-code aspects of computer science, which is really important if you plan on working in the industry.
- Information Technology
- Client Relations
- Network Security
- Bianary Security
